The 1st week of 2010 had passed. Compared to last year, things had been different. I feel different in many ways. I can feel the hope and light in myself. I truly belief 2010 will be a great and successful year for myself. I've switched to become happier and joyful in everything that I do everyday. I work harder and have less fear in myself. I become more playful and not afraid to follow my heart. It's a great year ahead for me and many dreams will become reality, no second thought, it just will happen, I have faith. :)

I'm getting use to being alone now in many things I do. I even watched movie alone now. Deep down inside I feel the need to be connected to someone but I promise myself that for 2010 I'll be focusing on career and have no distraction . It's delay gratification, no point to have someone but I can give the person anything. It's better to take care of someone when I can take care of myself. I'll find better joy in it then :)

I didn't put any title for this post. I can't make up my mind on it so I decided to just leave it as "...".

Why the sudden post after the long absent from this site I started 3 years ago? I want to follow my thought and emotion as I grow. The emotion that I'm experiencing now compared to 3 years ago is very different. It's an other point of my life where I'll learn to grow to the next stage, not to treat others too nice, to be firm and decisive and take action when it is necessary.

Taking action. How many of us do that? Making up mind and giving up after a brief tries? That's the 'immature' people. That's a poor state of mind.

This is the point where I go to the next stage....

Obama's Inspirational Speech

This particular speech by Obama had caused many controversial feedback from many parties. Some felt it's great while others felt that this speech will harm Obama's campaign. We do not know for sure what effect it will have on his campaign till end of the election but there's one thing for sure: Obama sure got the GUTS.

From his speech, I can felt his honesty, his empathy and his vision. I do not grow up in the USA but the points that he mentioned in his speech are something that I can relate to. Especially when I'm born in Malaysia and often heard many stories many people of different races their version of racial division here. I may not agree with all the things that many of them told me but I have to understand that they have gone thru different things in life.

He is right to say that we can ignore the problem not and let it still hurting the nation or solve it right now, a step at a time.

Time is relative to the person who experienced it. It's already end of 2007!! Some of us may think that the year passed too fast while some of us think it passed to slow. Nevertheless we are nearing the end of 2007, do you have a great 2007? I hope that everyone I know had a fruitful and wonderful 2007!!

Thinking back, this same time of the year in 2006 I was not so happy as I was at the a low point and low energy level. But 2007 proved to be a different story altogether. A year of great achievements, a year of great effort, and a year of new beginning.

A lots of event for me this year end, with Christmas Party tonight, Annual Dinner on the 29th and also my 1st custome party for New Year Celebration. Guess what will I be? Hehe.. Will tell u guys in my later post.

This post to congratulate the soon to be married couple Candise and Ivan for their decision to live together forever for the rest of their life.

I have to admit initially that when I heard the news it's an unexpected one for me. One is my best friend. Another one is someone whom I care a lot for. I was wondering if I was dreaming then. But still it remains as a fact.

Things suddenly sounded like some badly scripted Chinese drama that actually happens in real life. Hahaha.. things that you won't be able to expect from the real world. Anyway just wanna pen down my thoughts now that I have blessed their decision to get marry, not that my blessing is crucial for the marriage but I know it does matter a tiny little bit for someone.

Been away from the for awhile now. Been very busy with work and stuff. Paying less time on the blog is one of the many sacrifice that I'll be making to achieve my objectives. Been thinking a lot and finding the best way to do things that will make myself and those around me happy. It's seems like a lost cause. You can never satisfied everyone.

I have regretted on lots of things that have happened in the past but I can't change what had happened. The best is now to do what I need to do now to get what I what to get in the future. Lots of sacrifice to be made including spending less and less time blogging and meeting with lots of friends. From time to time I still call to chat but will rarely have the the time to meet up.

I have learnt a lots of things in the past one month that have change my views and my attitude towards life. Just went through the Napolean Hill - The Masterkey of Success training last week and realised that I've been slacking for quite some time, showing less confidence than I should as the working world tends to knock me out of my trueworth, and not working hard enough for my own betterment and dreams. It's good to be back after awhile. Still not too late as long as I'm willing to practice, go the extra mile, and determined to get it.

"Beep... Beep..."

The familiar tone signaling the arrival of a new message startled me. Wondering from whom that sms might be, I picked up the phone and went into the Inbox. The name that appears from the screen surprise me. It's from her.

'What might this about?' I wonder

The message read:
Hey good job on your blog :) I am thinking that if you focus your effort in other area, your dream might come true soon :) What do you think... I will support you always! Ganbatte oh

What that heck does that suppose to mean? I'm wasting too much time blogging? She will support me? Hahaha.. How irony after all that she have done to hurt me? What the fuck I don't want to care about her life anymore, I don't want to feel sad anymore, I don't want to shed another tear for her, not anymore, not after what she have done to me.

Ignoring her sms, I went back to sleep.

Two hours later...

"Beep... Beep..."

It's her again.

The message read:
Thanks for everything your given to me... You are always on my mind until my last day..

I feel like crying. But I can't. I made a promise to myself not to anymore, not for her anymore. I broke my promise. I cried. I'm not sure what the intention of that message. I'm not sure what she want from me. I don't want to hope as I'm afraid of hurting myself more. The pain had been unbearable.

I decided to reply her messsage:
Thanks for visiting my blog. Drop by once awhile k :)

And she replied:
Sure. Ganbatte :)

New Community Visit To the Old Folks Home

A charity outing by the New Community this time to visit the Rumah Love and Care in Kajang. Some facts about Rumah Love and Care:

Majority of the residents are old folks.
There are also some residents who is suffering from Down Syndrome.
All residents are of Chinese race.
The operation of the House is mainly sponsored by church and donations from public.

There's something for us to ponder when you look at point 3 above. It remains a fact that majority of the old folks left abandon in old folks home in Malaysia are Chinese despite the teaching of loyalty to parents are strong in the Chinese society. Why is it so? It's really sad to know that.

The New Community got to know about the house from James Wong, one of Malaysia famous actor. So the New Community went there together with James Wong and his girlfriend, Joanne.

The atmosphere in the House really spiced up with our arrival. All the residents were sitting outside the outside waiting for our arrival and you can really see their face lighted up when they see us. They are so happy that they actually sing to us!! :)

Amelia brought along a friend, Echo which offered to do Antioxidant Level Test with all the resident for free. It's really kind of her despite the tests actually took up 3 hours of her time. All the residents are really grateful and eager for their turn to be tested.

There's a 'popo' there that had been diagnosed with cancer stage 4 and is undergoing chemotherapy. She is only 50+ years old. It's really sad to got to know that she can be leaving the world anytime. Lavin and Joanne gave a lots of attention and time chatting with her. Joanne even fed her during her mealtime which is really caring of her.

There's also another 'popo' whom had a back problem. She can't sit for too long. That's why she said she was out only awhile to see us and then have to be send back to bed. She's really friendly and energetic despite her back problem. She keep asking for our name and tell us about hers. You should see how her face lighted up when she recognised Lavin as an actress. "Hey I know you!!" almost jumped up from bed. Lavin was very friendly and caring, chatted awhile with her.

The place is really neat and clean.

Everyone there is very caring to the residents, even the Indonesian maid there is really caring and takes really good care of the residents. You will not fail to notice how she always smile despite being busy taking care of the residents. One of those individual that will makes a different, will you?

Visiting the House is a new experience for me as it's really a first time for me. Really makes me reflect a lots of myself and my own parents. :)

Kevin and Charly Wedding Dinner @ Passion Road, KL

Been MIA for quite some time and been really busy to update my blog. Really felt bad for not updating it. So here the a long overdue entry regarding a wedding dinner that I attended last weekend.

Am invited by Kevin to attend his wedding dinner to celebrate the marriage between him and Charly in Passion Road, Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, KL. It's a really nice and cosy place specifically cater to private function.

The food was really quite nice and I like the starter the most. It's some kind of fish paste served with chili sauce. It's really nice. The main course is rice with few dishes which you have to pass around to get your own portion. It's the 1st time I attended a wedding dinner with such a unique serving option. Not the typical Chinese wedding dinner that I attended previously.

Harry Potter and The Order of The Pheonix - New Community Movie Meet

Many have told me that the latest installment of the Harry Potter movie series is not good. Well, I have to admit it's not that good compared to the earliear episodes, not much action in the movie. I found it rather short as well, and the show manage to make me yawn :P

Anyway, despite the not so good movie it's always fun to be hanging out with the Christien New Community Group. It's a 9.15pm show but we only got home at about 3am. Yes, it's 3am!! :P We hang out in Murni, SS2 after the show for a drink and supper where Mikemmery joined us as well. We enjoyed ourselves too much that we only left Murni after spending more than 3 hours there!! Time flies when you are enjoying yourself right? :)

Reign Over Me

Just watched Reign Over Me.

Starring Don Cheadle, Adam Sandler (one of my fave actor) and Liv Tyler (who only played a small role in this movie). The movie is about two main character Charlie Fineman (Adam Sandler), who had lost his whole family in the 9/11 tragedy and have since living in his own world unwilling to remember and accept the painful memories and Alan Johnson (Don Cheadle) ,who is a successful dentist but felt unfulfilled and pressured by both work and family.

The show revolve around how the friendship between Charlie and Alan helped each other recover from their psychology problems. The plot is very well written, showing us about love, family and friendship.

It makes me think of the loved one that I have 'lost'. Mind you, she is not dead just that she's not around me anymore. It's a relief to know that she is doing very well now despite I'm not there to share it but just grateful that at least she is happy.

Malaysian Blogger's Day @ Friendster Cafe Damansara

I think I'm the last one to post about this event. Seems like everyone does it faster than me but I think mine will be the longest :P Anyway was at Friendster Cafe in Damansara yesterday with the New Community members attending the Malaysian Blogger's Day organised by Elaine, sponsored by Adverlets and Friendster Cafe.

The event suppose to start at 8pm but as usual we were "fashionably late".

I've been tagged by Tailz to give my own 8 little known facts. Damn.. Just finished one on 7 Things You Do Not Know About Me and now need another 8 little known facts. So in total 15 little known facts about me!!! Thanks Tailz for thinking about me and sorry for not appearing as often in the studio. :)

OK. Here's another 8 little known facts about me:

There's a thorn in my heart that I know will always be there. I say always be there as I choose to let it be there. Sometimes I think I'm stupid to let it but that's just the way I function.
I had my 1st crush on somebody when I was 16. She was a girl I got to know from one of my 1st job as a sales assistnant in Parkson. I was young and naive so I totally screwed it so never got to keep in touch with her.
I hate being misunderstood. I hate it when someone accuse me of something I am not. It's worst when my intention is good while the other party think otherwise. I'll always remember those who misunderstood me and never apologises. To me they are just cowards.
I'm a giver in a relationship. I enjoyed contributing and making the effort to makes my partner happy. To me as long as she is happy I'll be as well. :)
I hate to see people not getting the facts right and always try to get it right for them. Sometimes I'm too persistant that they see the fact and ended up offending them. Now I've learn to keep quiet at times eventhough I know the other party is not right.
I'm the only staff that talk back to the MD of my 1st job. Hahaha. I actually wrote a letter and got it signed by all the staffs. The letter have all the complains that all the staffs were unhappy about. The MD was scared that I might Unionised the staff hahaha.. I left my job not long after.. :P
I love to eat chocolates esp dark chocolates. :) And chocolate cakes as well. :)
I love to play video games. At times I was so addicted to one game that I can play non-stop without sleeping :P

This action packed movie had proved to be very entertaining and fun to watch. John McClane is at it again this time against the high tech terrorist plotting to put down the whole US network system. They called his the analog guy in the digital age. So the good thing about this is that the digital system can not estimate the threat this analog guy is going to be as he's not suppose to be in the equation :P

Watched together with Christien New, Dodo, Waiwai, Amelia, Amelia's mum, Elyne and Roe Jin. After the movie we met up with Whitetulips, Steve and Jules for dinner at the food court in Mid Valley. Before we leave Mid Valley we have our usual photo session. :)

Attended Fong and Lu Wedding dinner in Seremban last Saturday. For those who don't know Fong is my ex-colleague from my 1st job. She have been together with Lu which is a super nice guy for like 10 years or more since high school.

My ex-colleagues occupied 5 tables.. huge crowd huh. Anyway the food is quite nice and we were served with roast pork meat from the morning ceremony which I liked very much hehe.. need to diet di, those stuff are really fattening.

Went for lunch with Jane and Charmayne at Chef and Brew in Damansara. The place have really nice atmosphere. The price is really quite reasonable and the food not bad at all.

We ordered the set lunch which is only RM16.90++ that comes with mushroom soup, grilled salmon fish, dessert and coffee. That's pretty reasonable if you ask me. :)

Charmayne brought us to the cake shop next door after lunch to check out the cakes they are having they. It's called Just Heavenly. The cakes looks really nice but we didn't get any as we are too full after the heavy lunch. So shall try it the next time I am there :)

Anyway something interesting happened when we walk back to my car which was parked at the roadside near the Plaze Damansara. Take a look at this:

My car is the one in front of the Kancil and guess what?..................... No parking ticket!! Hahaha it must have been my lucky day. I'm sure there was no parking tickets at the Kancil and the van when I parked there initial. Looks like the official issuing the parking tickets decided to stop after the Kancil! Woh.. lucky me!!.. and a close call too.. :P

Visit Malaysia 2007 - Pulau Redang

It is the Visit Malaysia Year yet again for 2007. Lots of marketing campaign have been going around promoting visit Malaysia to Malaysian which I think is a pretty good initiative considering we are the most convenient to Visit Malaysia since we are already here!! In case you do not realised it is also better for the economy since internal tourism promote flow of money internally in the country instead of outside.

So in the bid to help improve the Malaysia economy, I'll promote my one of my favorite Malaysia holiday spot, PULAU REDANG (Redang Island).

I was at Redang last May with a bunch of friends, holidaying. Going there is simply as there is these comfortable 24 seats buses that depart from KL to Kuala Terengganu(KT). Then from the KT bus station we were picked up by people from the hotel and send to the pier to take a boat there. The ride from the pier to Redang takes a little more than 1 hour and was really quite boring so it's advisable to bring along a bunch of crazy friends to cheer up the ride.

Finally reached the Island and behold the sight!!

If there is such thing as 'orgasm from visual simulation' I think this is the closest you can get.

Got tagged by Clare the other day and I finally manage to find the time to do this. 7 things you don't know about me. Erm...this is not tough but how do I write it so that I don't bored people who are reading my blog?Creative masterpiece??This is going to be no where near there.... WTH here it goes...

1. GAY people tends to like me and sometimes try to convert me. I don't know about the rest of you guys out there but I get quite a number of gay people showing interest in me. Is that normal? Hahaha.... Sorry k no offence meant for gay people reading this as a matter of fact I'm ok with having gay friends but not partner la. Myst do you have any such experience?

2. I love to played BASKETBALL and was really good at it. I say 'was' cos been awhile since I last played and don't really have to form anymore I guess. I'm not very tall so not qualify for the national team.. hehe.. I shall tagged Calvin from Japan (JapJap) here as he's really tall but don't really play basketball!! :)

3. I'm very very very BLUNT. Maybe good and may not, up to you. Sometimes I'm tactful but most of the time I'm dead honest that many hate me for it but many love me for it as well.. hehe I'm just practising what Jack Welch preach in his book Winning he called it 'Candor-the ability to tell the truth even though it hurts'. One person that I realised is as Candor as me is Jane.

4. I used to be very very SHY back in high school. Don't talk much especially to gals. I swear!! Seriously I'm not lying!! LOL things changed only when I finished high school and started to get to know lots of people and learn to socialize more. Now I'm damn not SHY...or in other word think face. :P Another shy blogger I know is Amelia.

5. I'm a COFFEE freak!! I think I'm addicted to coffee :P My favorite coffee chain got to be Starbucks!! Love their mocha and caramel machiatto. One blogger does NOT shared my passion for coffee is WaiWai.

6. I'm a sensitive guy. Hahhaha I'm serious...... but I'm not GAY k.

7. I'm very VISUAL. Meaning I like to enjoy looking at beautiful things especially beautiful people and art piece. Another art lover is Misherru which I shall tagged here.

At last ......the movie that I've been waiting so long for.......... TRANSFORMER.

After all the hype, the marketing, and the anticipation going on about the movie I must say that it never fails to live up to the expectation. This must be one of the best film of the year!! This movie is at the pole position so far for me for "The Best Movie of the Year"

I watched it together with Christien New, Lavin and more bloggers friends Dodo, Roe Jin, WaiWai, Esther (aka Whitetulips) and Steve (Esther's BF). The Location is in KLCC.

We went to Starbuck for a drink and met up with Jane and her BF Jeffrey. Jane just touched down in KLIA two hours earlier and come straight to KLCC to meet us. So kind of her :)

So You Think You Can Dance Grand Finale @ Ruums KL

I was very very fortunate to be able to be there for the Grand Finale of the So You Think You Can Dance Show last Friday. I never really follow the show although two of my friends actually joined the competition but did not manage to get into the last 20. For those who don't know these are the four finalists for the competition.

The crowd is big. The place was packed way before 8.30 pm, the time the show is scheduled to start.

The show started with the 20 finalist giving a performance which consist of dances from various genre. Then the four finalist perform 2 duets each and then followed by individual performance. Overall everyone did great in the duet performance can be say that the judges is having a tough time deciding on the winner. The best duet performance I must say belongs to Alam and Brancy when they perform a nice and skillful piece to a Zainal Abidin song. Brancy did missed her move in the final part where Alam quickly improvise with his agile body. That must have earned Alam quite a few points with the judges.

The deciding factor is during the individual performance where Alam truly shine with his breakdance piece. His performance have a great mixture and entertainment and skills enabling him to please both the crowd the the judges. Dennis should have done better if he have chosen a different piece instead of his Spanish Bull Fight piece. I must say all the rest, Dennis, Sue and Brancy failed to entice the crowd with their individual piece.

So the Award of the Best Dancer in Malaysia goes to Alam, which he clearly deserved. All the hard work and training he has gone through finally pays off. Congratulation to Alam!! This is what happened after they announced him as the winner!!

The lad is so happy that he lifted the MC, Juliana.

Ok enough bout the show, now about what I did there and who I met there. That's more interesting. I went with them:

We were seated downstairs and halfway through the show I decided to go upstair to the VIP and media section to look for Christien New since I know he'll be there that day. I haven't had so much fun for such a long time. Last night was one of the funnest night I have had for years. It's a duo event for me one is this and another is my close friend Fong's bachelorette night which I shall blog about in the next entry. Both took place in the same time and venue at Mystique, Cineleisure. Never thought I could make it to CN's event if not for Sanctuary is full and my friends choose Mystique. So fate brought me here and I'm killing two birds with one stone!! Hahhaa

SMART 2 Gathering @ Delicious, Bangsar Village

*Warning this will be a very very long entry with lots of lots of photos of pretty people and yummy foods. :)

SMART Program stands for Sunway Managerial Advance Requirement Training Program. It's actually a management trainee course initiated by the Sunway Group. I was part of the group together with 13 others in the SMART Batch 2 program 2004. I left the Program almost 1 years and 3 months. Many others left too but we still keep in touch and often try to organize gathering to catch up. Last Tuesday was one of those rarely occasion where we finally manage to get together after so long. Not everyone manage to come for the gathering but majority did manage to come.

This is the whole SMART2 team. The only complete team picture I have :P

We met up at a new restaurant in town called Delicious located in Bangsar Village. The atmosphere is really nice and cosy.

Thai Odyssey @ Mid Valley

Was at Mid Valley yesterday to get a present for a friend and found out that they have converted part of the B2 parking to a Thai Traditional Massage Centre called Thai Odyssey. It's a brilliant idea to make full use of the place. The setting is very nicely done I must say. The price is a little premium compared to the ones outside but it's just nice considering it's Mid Valley and the nice environment. Here's some photos of the place:

Had an interesting conversation with a pirated DVD peddler yesterday. His company is looking for pirated DVD peddler. Details of the job as follows:

The Company
Good and stable Company with strong connection with all the local police station and law enforcer to reduce your risk of getting into trouble. The only authority you need to watch your back for is the ppl from Kementerian Perdagangan. The company also have more than 3 years of steady payment record.

The Job
The job is to in the entertainment industry. To provide the public with affordable, high quality and the latest DVD movie. You'll be your own specific sale region. There's a daily sales quota you need to meet. Your service have to be good as our Company looking for long term relationship with the customer. We want repeat sales from them. You also need to keep up to date with the latest movies and fads in the entertainment industry.

The Products
Diversed range of products available. Single DVD movie, Karaoke DVD, 3 in 1 movies, Audio CD and even porn. Different product will offer you different margin. 3 in 1 and porn is the highest margin with gross profit of RM10 each for the peddler.

The Remuneration
You can start work by paying a deposit of RM70 to the Company. The your pay will be decided by the number of DVD you manage to sell each day. The average sales make about RM200 per day. No EPF or SOCSO provided but you don't have to pay income tax as well. That's better than giving you EPF and SOSCO and paying income tax.

Somehow I think the job sound like a franchise business. All you need to do is follow the system and sell products that's already in demand everywhere. And the license fee is just RM70 of refundable deposit!! What a great deal!!

I love to kiss! Kissing felt so good. The moment the lips touched you can feel the feeling of ecstasy rushing to your brain. We should kiss more as researchs show that kissing more improved the health immune system. The country should promote a national kissing day to improve the general well-being of Malaysian. Hehe. But sad to say in Malaysia it's not consider acceptable to kiss in the public. I was once stopped by a security guard in KLCC for kissing. I was told that display of affection in KLCC is forbidden. I was like WTF!! And they even warned me for hugging!!?? Hahaha.. But that was some time ago, I'm not so sure if they have loosen the regulation.

Meet Up with Christien New & Lavin @ The Curve

Went to the Curve yesterday to meet up with fellow bloggers and Christien New(CN) and his beautiful wife Lavin.

Found out that Christien and Lavin is extremely nice people. CN is a perfectionist when it comes to taking photo and we have to take a few times just to make him happy!! Another thing I noticed is that CN is very expressive, when you have the chance to meet him try to observe his facial expression and body movement when he was talking, it's very interesting and makes people around him at ease all the time. Lavin on the other hand is very down to earth and nice. Like CN Lavin tends ta also makes people around her at ease all the time. It's just so easy to like them both even though you are only meeting them the 1st time. Lavin mentioned that she have 3 kids to take care of, Gabriel, Raphael, and also CN!! Hahaha.. Not surprising cos CN is sort of the big kids type that wanna have fun all the time!!

After the long photo session thanks to CN for being a perfectionist when it comes to taking photo, we went to Kim Gary for drinks and lunch for many of us who not even have breakfast yet!! Willing to starve so that they can meet CN!!! Hahaha.. these people are really hardcore..

After about two hours of hanging out in Kim Gary, we followed Lavin to Tesco for grocery shopping!! Well how about that for something to brag about? So when someone ask me "What you did for the weekend?" I can say "Well, nothing much. Was just grocery shopping with Christien New, his wife Lavin and some friends" And I can imagine some jaws dropping... :P

Shain Fong, Get Well Soon!!

Shian Fong just got admitted into the hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU). I was in The Curve when I heard the news. So went to Tawakal Hospital near Jalan Genting Kelang right after meeting up with Nicole. Apparently he got admitted due to his thyroid problem which has been there for quiet some time. The thyroid malfunction prevent the proper function of the body and causes low level of potassium in the body which in turn interfere with proper heart function. He collapse while trying to get his passport renewed in Setapak.

All of us knew that he has been neglecting his own health despite his medical history by not eating the meds that doctors prescribe to him on time or at all or not eating any supplements which we recommends. Well, my 1st reaction was like see see see what I told ya!! Guess he should have knows better by now to take care of his own health.

Anyways he looks good when I was there to visit him. Even posed for the camera:

Update: Shian Fong was officially discharged from the lousy Tawakal Hospital on the 20 June 2007 spending a total of 6 nights there and raking up a bill of RM3k++. After discharged he have to go to Intan Gleneagles Ampang for specialist consultation as the doctor in Tawakal does not give proper consultation!!!..

The Journey Towards The Nicotine Free Me - Final Day

Today is the day it's going to be over. The smoking days that is. :) Had my final ciggie today at about 3pm. After that I threw away my lighter. 15th of June the the milestone to be recorded here. The day I stopped fagging. :)

Let's hope it shall stand as is it that I shall reach my 10days nicotine free milestones, 100 days and shall be remain so. What's important now is the determination to stay away from ciggie. I need to summon the 'Will of Steel' in me when it comes to saying "TAK NAK" :)

Don't you think I looked better than Andy in this ad.. :P Erm... the government should ask me to the ads la. No wonder the 100mil campaign gone up in smoke. Sigh.

Got to meet up with the gorgeous Nicole at Marche, The Curve yesterday. Suppose to meet Nicole with Nocturnal but in the end Noc pulled out a last minute disappearance act and dump me to deal with a group of total strangers whom I haven't meet before!! I had only seen Nicole's picture from her blog. Luckily she was aware that I'm showing up so it's slightly better than crashing others people dinner party without invitation. The Journey Towards The Nicotine Free Me - Day 3

Day 3 is pretty much like Day 2. It taste better. I've learn to appreciate ciggie better since I smoke less. I did not take it for granted. Every single fag is a blessing. I know I'm not going to get to smoke in the future so it makes it more precious. It's like love. Knowing that you have lost it makes it more valuable. It's always the case, we always take things for granted.

By now there's a split personality in me. Battling whether to quit or not to quit. It's like Smeagol in LOTR.

I shall not have doubt now..... still pushing forward with quiting smoking... Nadraj don't try to change my mind!!! Go away Nadraj!!!

My Last Weekend Trip to Melaka

Just went for a short trip to Melaka with my friends last Saturday. Went into the A'Famosa Water Park. Cosy me a freaking 40 bucks just to go in. They include lunch la but still I think it's a bit pricey. Nevermind all that, we still had lots of fun in there thou.

We came out with the brilliant idea of renting the floats from other people instead of the counter to save some money. Rental of double float from counter will cost us RM14 where RM7 is a deposit so we just went around asking people to rent to us for RM10. After about 30mins we got ourselves 3 double floats using only RM28 (one guy is kind enough to refuse the RM10 offer and wanted only RM8, so kind!! God Bless You).

So after playing with the floats we got a refund of RM21 from the counter. (We tried to rent to others people la, but I was shouting like the Petaling Street VCD seller and attracted too much attention... :P) So rental fee for 3 double floats just cost us RM 7 instead of RM21!!! RM 14 ringgit saving!! Sorry no pics of the water park as my camera is not water proof :)

We went to check in after that. Rented a huge bungalow in A'Famosa which cost us RM650.

Came with our very own swimming pool

Totally love the shower which have 5 different massage mode.

We rested in the house and do what all typical Chinese will do when they go out for outing like this. We played Mahjong!! Hehe... Hand very itchy as have not been playing since CNY. Then it's dinner time. Planned for satay celop in town drove all the way there only to find this:

Shit!!! Look at the queue!! Damn.. We change to a nearby satay celop shop which i think it not nice cos there's no queue outside the shop and also it's quite empty la. Anyways doesn't matter since we are there already we still enjoy ourselves :)

After the dinner, we went for a walk in Jonker street and was I bit late when I called Whitetulips as I promised to pay her shop a visit when I am in Melaka. She closes early for the day cos one of her worker not working. Poor thing, so I missed a chance to meet up with Whitetulips :( Sorry Tulips...

Anyways, we grabbed some dessert at YummyYummy is Jonker Street. I ordered a Crystal Chendol. Which is actually chendol with gula melaka and also chewy jelly. It's damn nice!!! Also tried the Durian Chendol which was recommended by Calvin. It's yummy!!! :)

We retired for the the day after Jonker. The next day we had Melaka Chicken Rice Balls for brunch!! I was damn hungry I finshed the food before I remember to take pictures of them!! Sorry guys :) 2 whole chickens and 100 balls of rice just cost us RM49!! And it's so good I had at least 15 balls of rice and quarter chicken. There goes my diet plan down the drain...

After that it was bye bye Melaka and home we headed. Stopped by Seremban to get the famous Siew Pau here:

The Journey Towards The Nicotine Free Me - Day 2

After almost 24hrs without ciggie, it never taste better. Almost like having sex....the first puff the sweet taste of nicotine like a first kiss, the 'high' feeling just like being stimulated, and the numbness....the orgasm.... :P Nah... I'm being exaggerating. It's true that I never taste it better other than yesterday but nothing never better than sex la. Sex is much better.

Anyways, Day 2 is much better, passed without major withdrawal symptoms except the tiredness and sleepiness. Started to have yawning marathon since 3 pm non stop till about 8pm. The yawning stopped after a few glasses of beer at Flam, Sunway. Due to the fact that I was at Flam I exceeded the quota of ciggies for the day. Instead of 2 ciggies I had 3 ciggies. Well I know I'm bad to not to follow the plan but the 3rd one was offered by a fren so I'll be rude not to take right? :P

Had lots of fun in Flam as we celebrated Regina's Birthday. Shall have a separate entry on that later. Well the conclusion is Day 2 is much better than Day 1. Next Day 3!!!

Day 1 of my journey towards being nicotine free is a hard one. The plan is to have gradual reduction of ciggies from about an average of 10 sticks to 0 stick in 5 days. This is how the the plan looks like:

Day 1 - Limit of 3 ciggies per day
Day 2 - Limit of 2 ciggies per day
Day 3 - Limit of 2 ciggies per day
Day 4 - Limit of 1 ciggies per day
Day 5 - Limit of 1 ciggies per day
Day 6 onwards 0 ciggies per day!!!

Day 1 is harder than I thought I would be. Had 3 ciggies by 5pm. Withdrawal symptoms kicked in at about 9pm. First was the tiredness, followed by the moodiness, the feeling colder than usual. By now I was lying in bed with blanket over me and my knees clamping my hands. Shivering even. Like I was one of those drug addict you see in the movies try to kick off their habit. Damn this is tougher than I thought!!

SK called at 10pm asking for yumcha. So get to go out to get some air. Symptoms still persist. Damn I looked pale. Had Neslo and Roti Canai in mamak, symptoms stop. I think the feeling of fullness can stop the symptoms but only temporary. 15 mins later the symptoms attacked again this time with even headache. Shit...

Successful passed Day 1 with only 3 ciggies but with major withdrawal symptoms. Sigh. Wonderinng if I should use nicotine patch....

Hopefully its better for Day 2. Gonna get some rest now. Good night people!!

Sony Ericsson K550i Review

Just got a new Sony Ericsson K550i Cybershot cellphone. It so beautiful...........and it's white!! The phone is using the same platform the previous K series is using so it's quite stable and user friendly. I was contemplating between this model and Motorola V3i but finally settle for this model as I know Motorola platform sucks. The V3i is only RM 580 while this model set me back an extra Rm200. I need to get a new cell cos my old O2 Mini keep PMSing on me. Need to reset like 20 times everyday. So i got fed up of it and bought this K550i :)

No regrets. This cell is so good I love it totally!! I even sleep with it by my side :)

The cell come with a 2mp auto focus camera so it can takes super clear pictures. Almost like a picture taken from a real camera. Some pictures taken using the camera-phone.

Smoking

I lived my whole 26 years despising people that smokes and hating the smell of cigarette smoke in the air around me. I told myself that never in my life that I will smoke. Well guess sometimes things in life is harder to control than you anticipate it is.

Reasons on why I should continue smoking:

It feels good.
It taste good.
It compliments the food
It contribute to the betterment of the economy
It sustain jobs for ppl in the tobacco industry
It sustain jobs for ppl in the lighter making industry
It keep the mozzies away when I go yum cha.
Something for me to do when I'm bored.
Something for me to do when I'm not in a mood to talk.

I never thought that I could come out with so many reason to continue smoking.

Reasons I should quit smoking:

Gotta save more money
Good for health
Someone gonna add me in her list.... ( I know u r reading this) :)

Ok enough said.. I'm quiting!!

Finding A Way Back Into Love

Sometimes you get hurt too much in a relationship that you totally lost all confidence and courage to love again. It's really difficult especially you had placed so much hope and trust in the previous relationship that when you lost it you lost all hope and trust to love again.

Steven Covey once said that "building trust is like filling a glass of water, the more trusting things you did the fuller the glass become. But once you did something that can destroy trust you take the water out of the glass. One thing is always true, it's always easier to spill the water in the glass than to fill it." In my case the glass is totally empty.

I hope time will makes the path back into love visible again.

Wings Music Cafe is a cafe that have singers singing live for your entertainment like the famous Halo Cafe. It's a little more affordable than Halo and I used to go to the branch in Puchong because it's one of the very few places that serve Hoegarden beer. Right now they have branch in Puchong, Melaka, Sri Kembangan, Kuala Lumpur, and the latest one in Kepong.

Night Out with Charmayne and Dax @ Laundry, The Curve

Went out last Friday to meet up with Charmayne and Dax @ Laundry, The Curve. Reached there about 9.40 pm, went to the gents.. well actually I walked into the ladies and saw two big size African women staring at me. I was like "ops..sorry" smiling at them.. the cleaner lady outside was shouting 'Lelaki sini la!!".. I sheepishly walk into the gents and apologised to the cleaner lady. :P

The Laundry was really packed, probably because Saturday is a holiday. Dax and Charmayne was late. Dax arrived at about 10pm, and both of us manage to find a place in Laundry (we were lucky cos I saw a group leaving so I walked to the empty table and sit down as another couple walking towards the same table turn around looking defeated.. muhahaha feel like fighting for table in a dim sum place on Sunday :P)

Anyways Charmayne arrived at about 10.15pm. We were just chilling out when we saw a group of local celebrities some which I identified was Carmen Soo (hot!!), Rashid Salleh (panas!!), Gavin Yap (handsome & talented!!), Nell Ng (cute!!), another tall girl which Charmayne told me the name but I've forgotten but she's not so important. Damn so feel like going to them and take some pictures but Charmayne dun want to do it so no pictures of me with celebrities in this entry :(

Anyways we finished our drinks and decided to go up the Sanctuary to chill with Dax friends which were suppose to be inside. We went up and saw the crazy crowd and the super long queue waiting to get inside Sanc. Dax called his friends, apparently they can't get inside Sanc as it's already packed so they left for Hartamas, dashing our hopes to go in to check out hot chicks/hunks. Sigh..

So we called it a night, Dax left for Hartamas to join his friends and I accompanied Charmayne to wait for her MrBf to fetch her. That's pretty much how the night out turns out to be, despite the small group we had lots of fun just getting to know each other and observing the crowds. Looking forward for our next night out!!

Had free lunch at Marche in Renaissance courtesy of Elaine (my godsis). There's no special occasion just happens that Elaine have voucher for free meal so we just went for lunch.

The atmosphere was rather normal maybe cos it's the afternoon and there were not many people around. Apart from us they were only two other tables occupied.

They only serve set lunch in the afternoon.

These are my choice for my set

My appetizer - It's very nice lots of olive!!

My main course - Superb.. the tuna is very fresh and juicy!!

My dessert - very sweet.. :)

Other worthy mention includes:

Creamy mushroom soup

Roasted vegetables with eggplant tahini puree - They say it's nice but I never try cos dun like eggplant :P

Pinky grapefruit granita with hazelnut wafer - It tasted like pamelo (luk yao) sorbet. A bit bitter though.

The not so nice main course is the 'Mediterranean beef striploin steak' which is just normal and a bit too dry.

Take this chance to take pictures with them since we rarely take any pictures together :)

Tired Day...

I have just taken shower. Just reach home at 4am. Thought of updating this blog but am very tired and having a terrible headache now. Was out all night celebrating Sin Keong's 26th birthday. Shall blog about it tomorrow.... maybe. :P

Saw a red Kancil near my office today. The tyres definitely need some air.

So I left a note on the windscreen asking the owner to feed the tyres more air!!

No, I don't know the owner just feel like doing a good deed.

And no, I didn't left and phone number there just in case the owner might be some hot chick. On second thought maybe I should... :P

My First EPL Experience

Had my first EPL experience in 9th Marth 2002 in St.James Park, home of Newcastle United. It's the FA Cup 6th round between the home team and Arsenal. Got the ticket for GBP20 (about RM 140) the cheapest ticket on the home stand. Student mah can't afford more expensive tickets. I went there with 3 more of my friends 2 guys Tony and SK, and a gal, May.

The atmosphere is crazy man!! The crowds is cheering and chanting for their team. Even I chant along although sometimes I can't work out what they we chanting about. In Newcastle their speak a special dialect of English called Geordie which doesn't sound like English at all!! For example in English when you say 'Do you know what I mean?' in Geordie it will sound like 'Ya knaa what ya mean liek?' damn confusing especially if you are speaking to a local in Newcastle. Ok back to the match, the feeling is sensational. Being there watching the match is a wonderful experience. Although the match eventually ended 1-1 (I can't remember who scored for Arsenal but I think Shearer scored for Newcastle) but there's lots to see as Alan Shearer manage to scored twice but was disallowed for pushing and offside. And Shay Given the goalkeeper for Newcastle United was magnificent that night.

Fans rush outside after the match to catch the away team to get some autograph. Tony managed to snap some shots

After This Our Exile

"After This Our Exile" or in Chinese " 父子" is a movie by the Hong Kong filmmaker Patrick Tam. Set in Malaysia in the 1990s, the movie tell a story of a tragic relationship between a father and son. Starring Aaron Kwok as the Father "Ah Seng", Goum Ian Iskandar as the Son "Ah Boy" and Charlie Young as the Mother "Ah Lin".

Despite many complains from my friends telling me that movie is boring I found the story very touching. I can't help but felt sorry for Ah Seng despite his gambling habits and short temper which caused Ah Lin to run away from the family leaving him and Ah Boy. Ah Seng tried his best to be a better person by treating Ah Lin better buying her things although he's broke but things didn't goes as planned. It's very interesting how the ending turns out to be making me wonder what really happen to Ah Seng in the end.

Do watch the movie if you:

Like to see a movie that is set in Malaysia
Like the actors or actresses in this movie
Like to see Aaron Kwok groping Charlie Young
Like to see Aaron Kwok armpit hair
Like to see Aaron Kwok trying hard to speak and swear in Malaysian Cantonese
Like to see a brand new Kia Optima which available only recently here being use in a movie which supposely to be set in the 1990s.

Despite the imperfections in the show, it's quite watchable and brings a strong message with it.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

Captain Jack Sparrow is back!! I watched it yesterday and I think it's good and damn funny. Captain Jack never fail to please anyone. :)

It also have one of the most memorable kiss on the silver screen so far this year, between Elizabeth (Keira Knightley)and William (Orlando Bloom). And Keira Knightley is so hot!! Her performance in the show was just ok but she is HOT nevertheless and that's worth the RM10 I spent on the movie ticket.

Also starring one of our Asia Star, Chow Yun Fatt as Captain Sao Feng a Singapore pirate lord. Not the best of Chow's performence in the movie though.

Overall a superb entertaining show. So what ya all waiting for. Lined up for the tickets now!!

Crazy Outing - Yike's Birthday Supper!!

Monday was Yike's Birthday. Went to Wong Kok in Citrus Park OUG to celebrate her birthday together with a bunch of Living Arts family!! I was a crazy night although there's no booze yesterday but everyone is just getting hyper!! Here's some photos I took using my new Olympus Fe-190 :)
